Leadership Through A Gender Lens
Date: February 23, 2018
Time: 12.30pm to 1.30pm IST

With growing numbers of women joining the traditionally male driven workforce as well as assuming leadership and managerial roles, a need arises to sensitize oneself to gender differences, so as to foster a harmonious and healthy workplace. Both genders need to understand each other to be able to collaborate for best results and also to be able to strive for better results through their teams.

There exists a belief that men and women lead differently. Men tend to be stronger in strategic thinking and women tend to be stronger on the interpersonal aspects of leadership. But is this really true? At the end of the day, leadership is leadership. Being an effective leader is not related to being a man or a woman. Can gender be taken out of the leadership assessment equation to enable talent to be viewed individually and not according to latent gender stereotypes?

Join us in understanding how gender, the socially constructed roles of and the relations between men and women often coloured with stereotypical views and biases, impact daily workplace interactions and what can be done about it.
