Humanizing Virtual Communications for Team Effectiveness
A considerable portion of businesses have now transitioned to the virtual platform in the form of emails, online forms, online payments, webinars, online communication platforms etc. Such a heavy reliance on technology renders it possible to even run the entire operations remotely. This has become an advantage especially in crunch times such as this when almost the entire world is affected by COVID-19, making it possible for us to carry-out our work even from home. Not to mention teams across the world can even work together on complex tasks or projects. Well, I’m sure you would agree that not only by having an efficient online platform is crucial to execute work, employing the appropriate communication techniques is equally important. In other words, the success of virtual team lies significantly in the hands of what is believed to be ‘humanized communication’. Hence, what is it exactly and how different is it from what we have been exercising within our virtual team?
